Rose McGowan

"Rose", born on the 5th of September 1973 is an American actress.
McGowan's film debut was in the comedic Encino Man (1992), however she was
recognized for her role in The Doom Generation (1995), where she received an
Independent Spirit Award nomination as Best Debut Performance. Her breakthrough
came in the film horror Scream (1996) and then headlined the films Going All
the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999). In the decade
2000, McGowan became known to TV viewers for her character in the role of Paige
Matthews in The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). McGowan was
also a mainstay in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film
Grindhouse (2007) which for which she received nominations for the Saturn Award
as Best Actress and the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. Her debut album,
Planet 9, was released in the year 2018. The album was followed up by a
repackaging of Planet 9 in 2020. McGowan was honored by Time as one of the
Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of Year in 2017. She made a statement
against harassment and sexual assault, and , in particular, the Harvey
Weinstein sexual abuse cases. She's published her memoir, Brave, and starred in
the four-part documentary series Citizen Rose, both in 2018.
