Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born on the 25th of November, 1968, is a Canadian actress from Canada. She is most famous for her performances in American television series Law & Order (where she was Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She has also appeared on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she wrote and directed). Hennessy was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Her father, John Hennessy, was an animal salesman and a executive in sales and marketing, a position which required a lot of travel, and led to frequent relocations for the entire family. Maxine Hernnessy, Maxine's mother and secretary, passed away in the year 1982. Eleanor her paternal grandmother from Kitchener (Ontario) took part in raising her daughter. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is a magazine writer in Canada. Hennessy has Irish, French, Swedish and Italian ancestry on her father's side, and most Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian and Austrian ancestry from her mother's side. She graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute and Stanley Park Senior Public School. Hennessy, her sister and her first role on stage was as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. She was not selected to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who was eventually offered the role.She was in Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she starred as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons before she quit the show in 1996.
