Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a writer, director actress, musician, and actor who has helmed many episodes of TV that include The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) and Chicago Fire (2012), among others. Milena served as the Co-EP/Producing director on Dick Wolf's CBS show FBI (2018) and is currently attached to two pilots. Milena was among eight women who were selected by AFI's famous Directing Workshop for Women. She was also a participant in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable the short film she created, as well as a TV series proof of concept was shown at SXSW. It also won Best Episodic Award at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) has been screened across the United States and was awarded the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has acted in over 100 TV episodes as an actor. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) which was an episode of the Dick Wolf series, was her second leading role. The result was her being named the Emmy-winning female detective in Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on or recurred on numerous other shows: K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family); and in the role of Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena also appeared in several films like Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011), opposite Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She has also appeared on stage with Method Man. Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high school, before she graduated with a double major vocal performance and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. Soon after she took advantage of her classical ballet background to make an appearance on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production of "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
