Alona Tal

Alona Tal is an Israeli-American actor and singer. Her birthplace was in Herzliya on the 20th of October 1983. Following her service as a member of the Israeli Defense Forces, she started her career. Her big break came in 2003 when she appeared in an Israeli film. At the time she also was a part of two TV shows in the country. She was also a musician by recording a few songs with the Israeli rapper Subliminal. Tal was able to move in with her sister in New York to take a vacation from her professional life. In the hit song "Party to Damascus", she collaborated in a duet with Wyclefjean from Haiti. American television also helped her establish herself, starting with a regular role on the TV show Veronica Mars. She initially was a candidate for the role lead however, the creator Rob Thomas created a new character for her. Later, Tal was offered a regular role of the CBS series. She was on two television shows in Israel before making the move to New York. Wyclef Jean was her singing partner. Hebrew is her mother tongue. She finished second in the role as Veronica Mars (2004). Thomas loved her so much he created the character that would play Meg Manning specifically for her. She was part of the Israel Defense Forces. Her parents are Jewish, her father is Turkish/Jewish while her has a Polish/Jewish mother. The character is the daughter of Adrian Monk's wife, who was killed in the final episode in the final season of Monk (2002).Has an infant daughter, Charlie Ferraez (b.March 7, 2017) married to her husband Marcos A. Ferraez.
