Mary-Louise Parker

 Mary-Louise Parker, born August 2nd, 1964 was an American actress. Following her Broadway debut as Rita in Craig Lucas's Prelude to a Kiss in 1990 (for which she received an Tony Award nomination), Parker gained notoriety for roles in films such as Grand Canyon (1991), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Client (1994), Bullets over Broadway (1994), A Place for Annie (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), The Portrait of a Lady (1996) and The Maker (1997). Among stage and independent film performances thereafter, Parker received the 2001 Tony Award for Best Actress in the same Play for her portrayal as Catherine Llewellyn in David Auburn's Proof, among other accolades. Between 2001 and 2006, she appeared as Amy Gardner in the NBC television show The West Wing, for which she was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the Drama Series in 2002. In her role in the role of Harper Pitt in the HBO miniseries Angels in America, she received the Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. She was also awarded an award for her performance in the series, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. In 2006, Parker was nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In 2007, Parker was nominated for three times for The Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series. She also was awarded the Golden Globe Award in 2006 for Best Actress in Red (2010) and Red. (2013) and Red 2 (2013). Parker was back on Broadway in 2019, and was a part of The Sound Inside. This production earned her her second Tony Award for Best Actress. Parker has been contributing articles to Esquire magazine since 2007 and published Dear Mr. You in 2015. She was the star of Roma Guy in the ABC TV miniseries "When We Rise" in 2017. In 2018, she served as a political advisor on Billions, the Showtime show.
