Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born on the 12th of May 1972. She is well-known as the lawyer Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), in which she has been two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress for Series, Miniseries or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011)-2013, ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 as well as TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12 on the 12th of May, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a household that was constantly moving, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. Following the footsteps of her father and grandmother and mother, she was a student of painting, drawing and architectural design from a young age. While she was a lover of all of the arts in her life, she discovered an interest in acting. In college she was introduced contemporary theater. In 1994 she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. Seehorn started her career in college as an actor and was supported by her acting instructor. She tried to gain attention through various ancillary jobs in D.C. theater. She was able to secure some important part in local theater productions. However, she was forced to do odd jobs to survive. To pay for the expenses she was also able to take on roles in short industrial instructional films. She soon began to be involved in more TV productions. The most frequent comparisons she was made was to Bea Arthur, whom was described by her as "very wry," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. However, most of the roles she played were part-time shows that were cancelled after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was played by Kim Wexler for the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn plays Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer and is the love of Jimmy McGill/Saul (Bob Odenkirk).
