Michelle Lynn Monaghan Bio

Michelle Lynn Monaghan (born March 23, 1976) is an American actress. She is well-known for her starring roles in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (2005), Gone Baby Gone (2007), Made of Honor (2008), Eagle Eye (2008), Trucker (2008), Source Code (2011), Pixels (2015), and Patriots Day (2016). Her leading role in Mission: Impossible III (2006), Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011) and Mission: Impossible Fallout (2018) has earned her respect. Monaghan was also nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Best Supporting Actress. In the drama The Path, a drama series The Path (2016), she played the character as Sarah Lane. Monaghan starred as Eva Geller in the 2020 Netflix thriller series Messiah and the show was cancelled after a single season. Monaghan was the child of Sharon Hammel (a factory worker) in Winthrop. Her older brothers are, Bob and John. Monaghan is an Catholic of Irish and German origin and graduated from East Buchanan High School, 1994. Following graduation, Monaghan moved to Chicago to pursue a journalism degree before pursuing modeling. Models have also appeared in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as in the United States. She left New York for an acting career after completing her journalism degree in 1999. She began her career as a model. Monaghan's first two credited television appearances, which were in a secondary role and as Caroline Busse in episodes of Young Americans, which aired in 2000. Her second television appearance was on Law & Order: Special Victims United in "Consent" that aired on January 19, 2001. Monaghan also made her screen debut in Perfume that year in the role of Henrietta. She also acted as a support actress in Unfaithful in 2002, starring Richard Gere, Diane Lane as well as other actors.
