Mila Kunis Bio

 Mila Kunis was born Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi in Ukraine on August 14, 1983. Kunis was seven years old when she old, emigrated to America with her parents Elvira and Mark Kunis. Then, she settled in Los Angeles. The Kunis family came to the United States with only 250 dollars. This was a difficult beginning. Kunis' parents both quit their jobs to make it easier for their children. Mark who was an engineer who retired was able to find employment as a taxi driver. Elvira who had studied Physics in Ukraine became a pharmacist. Kunis said that he did not fully comprehend the American culture when he first arrived in America. "I didn't understand the people. I didn't understand the language. My first sentence in my essay for college was "Imagine yourself being blind and deaf by age seven." That's how it felt when I moved to the States. But it was not an easy change. Milena Markovna Kunis was the daughter of Mark Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) and Elvira. She is the elder sister to her older brother. Her mother works as an Physics teacher and her father owns a pharmacy. His father is mechanical engineer by profession. She is Jewish and her family moved to Los Angeles at the age of seven. In Los Angeles, she was a student at Rosewood Elementary School.When she was only 9-years-old she started learning to act. She auditioned for commercials and then made her television debut in 1994 in her first appearance on Days of Our Lives. Her first major role in 1998 as Jackie Burkhart on the hit sitcom 'That's 70s Show'. After receiving rave reviews, she was tapped to voice the character of Meg Griffin on animated sitcom 'Family Guy.
