Don Rickles Biography

 Don Rickles was an American stand-up comedian, author, and actor. He was among the most highly-respected entertainment talent. He was a combination of wit and humor and a genuine affection for his fans, that led to him becoming a magnet for laughter, fun, and amusement. Because of his capacity to make an insult appear funny and uninvolved, he was a frequent performer in celebrity roasts. His insults, which were hurtful and mean, attracted much attention. However, the person receiving them would be laughing. He started his career as a regular comedian, who would perform rehearsed jokes. But, he realized that the audience loved his impromptu jokes more than his scripted material. His unique style won him many fans, including Frank Sinatra. He was also a star in several TV and film productions. He also released two comedy albums. He was awarded many prizes, including a Lifetime Achievement award at The Comedy Awards. His style of insinuation comedy has earned him many nicknames, such as 'The Merchant of Venom' The Insultan'and 'Mr. Don Rickles only had small TV roles after his graduation. Comedy was his initial step in earning extra cash. This was the time the comedian developed his 'insult comedy persona. He was a major part of Clint Eastwood's film that became a hit Kelly's Heroes (1970). He was a part of a number of television comedies, including 'The Dean Martin Roasts' (1973) and  The Don Rickles show' (1972). Barbara Sklar, Don Rickles's wife, was married to him on March 14 in 1965. The couple had two kids, Mindy and Larry. Larry, their son, died in 2011. Bob Newhart was his best friend and he often vacationed with his wife. They were often seen together on various shows, like "Newhart.' Don Rickles, who passed away on April 6, 2017 due to kidney failure, died at his Beverly Hills, California home.
